Pleurothallis brighamii

This member of the pleurothallid alliance is a very prolific grower and bloomer.  Within 2 years time, it increased from a plant with about ten growths and three flower spikes to a plant with about 50 growths and 40 flower spikes.  Each spike produces flowers sequentially, so it is always in bloom, with an average of half the flower spikes holding an open flower at any one time, and at least another third holding developing buds.  One interesting tidbit of information: these flowers are fragrant, if their mushroom-like scent could be considered a "fragrance".
