An affiliate society of the American Orchid Society, the Tallahassee Orchid Society was founded with the mission "To enjoy and protect Earth's vanishing species". The Tallahassee Orchid Society is a non-profit organization whose goal is to educate its members and the public at large about orchids.  In addition to monthly meetings (usually held the first Thursday of each month at 7 pm),  we put on an annual spring orchid show that features displays and orchid vendors from throughout the state of Florida and the greater southeast region.  Our society includes members of all ages, nationalities, and backgrounds, with growing experiences ranging from rank novices to seasoned professionals.
