March 20 and 21, 1965, 6th Annual Tallahassee Orchid Society
Show was held at the Tallahassee Federal Savings and Loan. First AOS judged
show with Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Vaughn, Jack Sweet, C.C. Curry, and Norman
Merkel serving as judges.

March 19 and 20, 1966, 7th Annual Tallahassee Orchid Society
Show was held at the Tallahassee Federal Savings & Loan.

March 4 and 5, 1967, 8th Annual Tallahassee Orchid Society Show
was held with the theme "Orchid Fantasy". AOS Show Trophy won by Fort Caroline
Orchids of Jacksonville.

March 29 – 30 1969, 9th Annual TOS show was held. Mr. Thomas
Bartenfield, Jr., Atlanta, was awarded a CCM (81 points) for Cattleya Ardmore
alba ‘Lines’. Doritaenopsis Twins Teo ‘Peter’, exhibited by Dr. Henry Wallburn,
Gainesville, was awarded a HCC (75). Mr. Gordon Vickers, Jacksonville,
was awarded a CCM for Ornithocephalus bicornis "Paralee’.

April 19 – 20, 1970 TOS Show was held at Tallahassee Mall.

July 1970 TOS President listed by AOSB as Mrs. Mildred Oppenheimer.

September 19 - 20, 1970 TOS Show was held at Northwood Mall. Phalaenopsis
Sun Fire ‘Peter’, exhibited by Dr. Henry Wallburn, Gainesville, was awarded
a HCC (77 points). Phalaenopsis lueddemanniana var hieroglyphica ‘Angela
Marie’, exhibited by MAJ Orchids, Jacksonville, was awarded an AM (81 points).

March 18 – 19, 1972 TOS show was held. Paphiopedilum Olivia ‘Casa Luna’,
exhibited by Casa Luna Orchids, Beaufort, SC, was awarded an AM (82 points).
Phalaenopsis Wanda Williams ‘Ruth’, exhibited by Dr. Henry Wallburn, Gainesville,
was awarded an AM )83 points).

October 5, 1973 George Hunter, Jr. is appointed to probationary status
by the AOS Committee of Awards.

October 13, 1973 TOS show was held. Laeliocattleya Memoria Bill Mayfield
‘Kanapaha’, exhibited by Ms. Ruby Rains, Gainesville, was awarded an AM
(81 points). Tallahassee’s own Jimmy Nesmith was awarded a CCM for Phalaenopisis
violacea ‘Tallahassee’.

April 19 – 20, 1975 TOS show was held. Phalaenopsis Teoh Phaik Khuan "McQuerry’,
exhibited by Jack McQuerry, Jacksonville, was awarded an AM (81 points)
along with Renaglottis Clarence Russell ‘McQuerry’ ( 83 points). Phalaenopsis
Winter Maiden ‘Orlando’s Best’. Exhibited by Dick Das, Orlando, was awarded
an AM (83 points). Phragmipedium Schroderae ‘Orchidcrest’, exhibited by
Randy Burnside, Crestview, FL, was awarded an AM (87 points). Renanthopsis
Moon Walk ‘Marshall’, exhibited by Marshall Orchids, was awarded an AM
(82 points).

October 1975 TOS President listed by AOSB as Ken Johnson.

November 20 – 21, 1976 TOS show was held. Ascocenda Onokist ‘Marshall’,
exhibited by Marshall Orchids was awarded an AM (82 points). ‘Tricocidium
Seminole Brave ‘Memoria Helen Farlow’ received an AM (80 points) for Marshall
Orchids. Laeliocattleya Royal Emperor ‘Chris’, exhibited by William Miles,
Maitland, was awarded an AM (81 points).

February 1977, Mr. George C. Hunter of Tallahassee is appointed as a fully
accredited judge by AOS.

April 29 – 30, 1978 TOS show was held. Doritaenopsis Jerry Vande Weghe
"Apperson’, exhibited by John and Jean Apperson, Pensacola, was awarded
an AM (83). Epicattleya Epiorange ‘F. J. Church’, exhibited by Romona Fridley,
was awarded an AM (80 points). Oncidium Purple Envy ‘Joyce’, exhibited
by Chuck Clouse, Jacksonville, was awaded an AM (82 points). Phalaenopsis
Tiger Cub ‘Ruth’, exhibited by Dr. Henry Wallburn, Gainesville, was awarded
an AM (80 points). Vanda denisoniana ‘Gayle’, exhibited by Bob Podgorski,
Pensacola, was awarded an AM (82 points).

September 29 – 30, 1979 TOS show was held. Miltonia Star of Nuuanu ‘Britt’,
exhibited by Charles Porter Orchids, Lakeland, was awarded an AM (84 points).
Paphiopedilum praestans ‘The Gargoyle’, exhibited by John Atwood, Tallahassee,
was awarded an AM (82 points). Vanda Kiliwehi Kono ‘Zeigler’, exhibited
by Randy Zeigler, Perry (just down the road from Tallahassee), received
a HCC (79 points).

March 14 – 15, 1981 TOS show was held. Laeliocattleya Ernest Perri ‘Twin
Rivers’, exhibited by Dr. Ernest Perri, Ormond Beach, was awarded an AM
(82 points). Paphiopedilum Derocles "Springtime" (76 points), Paphiopedlium
Noyocino ‘The Thunderer’ (76 points), and Paphiopedilum Noyocino ‘Brute’
(75 points) were awarded HCCs. The three plants were exhibited by Robert
McElderry, Burlingame, CA. Paphiopedilum Kenny ‘Val’ (75 points) and Paphiopedilum
Via Mesa Grande ‘Althea’ (76 points), exhibited by Val and Jack Tonkin,
Kensington, CA, were awarded HCCs. Paphiopedilum Leather ‘Princess’, exhibited
by Gary Turpin, Piedmont, CA, was awarded a HCC (76 points). Phalaenopsis
Seawall Wright ‘Gretchen’, exhibited by Dr. Henry Wallburn, Gainesville,
was awarded an AM (80 points).

April 23 – 24, 1983, TOS show was held. Wossie Orchids, Orlando, was awarded
an AM (83 points) for Ascocenda Becentennial ‘Tim’.

May 19 – 20, 1984, TOS show was held. Cattleytonia Jamaica Red ‘Ponkan’,
exhibited by Krull-Smith Orchids, was awarded an AM (81 points).

February 23 – 24,1985 TOS show was held. Laelia crispata ‘Orchidglade’,
exhibited by Jones and Scully, Miami, was awarded a HCC (77 points). Phalaenopsis
Orchid World ‘Hot Shot’, exhibited by Orchid World International, Miami,
was awarded an AM (82 points).

May 9 –10, 1987 TOS show was held. Ms. Janet May, Miami, was awarded a
CCM for Encyclia cordigera ‘Janet’. Phalaenopsis Orchid Works ‘Hot Stuff’,
exhibited by Orchid World International, Miami, was awarded an AM (80 points).

June 2 – 3, 1990, TOS show was held. Windy Hill Orchids, Tallahassee, was
awarded an Educational Exhibit Certificate and Glenmar Orchids, Tallahassee,
was awarded the AOS Show Trophy. A Certificate of Meritorious Arrangement
was awarded to Abbie’s Flowers, Tallahassee. MAJ Orchids, Jacksonville,
was awarded a CHM for Phalaenopsis modesta ‘MAJ’.

April 27 – 28, 1991, TOS show was held. MAJ Orchids, Jacksonville, was
awarded the AOS Show Trophy. MAJ Orchids was also awarded a CHM for Encyclia
fowliei ‘MAJ’ and another CHM for Leptotes pauloensis "MAJ’. Oncidium Royal
Purple ‘MAJ’, exhibited by MAJ Orchids was awarded an AM (82 points). MAJ
Orchids received a CCM for Phalaenopsis lueddemanniana ‘MAJ’. Phalaenopsis
Orchid World ‘East Bay’, exhibited by Larry Plank, Navarre, FL, was awarded
an AM (82 points).

April 4 –5, 1992, TOS 25th Annual Show. A Certificate of Meritorious
Arrangement was awarded to Abbie’s Flowers, Tallahassee. Paphiopedilum
Western Sky ‘MAJ, exhibited by MAJ Orchids, Jacksonville, was awarded an
AM (81 points).

April 24 – 25, 1993 TOS show was held. Laelia praestans ‘MAJ’, exhibited
by MAJ Orchids, Jacksonville, was awarded a HCC (77 points). Paphiopedilum
haynaldianum ‘MAJ’ received an HCC (77 points).

April 1 – 2, 1995 TOS show was held. Paphiopedilum Delophyllum ‘Classic
Joy’, exhibited by Kieth and Charlotte Hall, Jacksonville, was awarded
an AM (83 points). The Hall’s Paphiopedilum Memoria Robert Ward ‘Classic
Joy’ was awarded a HCC (79 points).

April 21 – 22, 1996, TOS show was held. MAJ Orchids, Jacksonville, was
awarded AOS Show Trophy. MAJ Orchids was awarded a CHM for Epidendrum campestre
‘MAJ’. Phalaenopsis Clay Hill ‘MAJ’, exhibited by MAJ Orchids was awarded
an AM (81 points).

April 18 – 19, 1998, TOS show was held at Doyle Conner Agriculture Center.
Geiger Orchids, Wellborn, Florida, was awarded the AOS Show Trophy. MAJ
Orchids, Jacksonville is awarded a CBR for Bulbophyllum scaberulum ‘MAJ’.
Doritaenopsis Heaven’s Treasure ‘Hall’s Classic Joy’, exhibited by Keith
and Charlotte Hall, Jacksonville was awarded an AM (84 points). Paphiopedilum
Zeus ‘Sansy’s Passion’, exhibited by Robert Stanton, Long Beach MS, was
awarded an AM (81 points). Phragmipedium Andean Fire ‘D&B’, exhibited
by Doris Dukes and Bill Thoms, Dover, FL, was awarded a HCC (77 points).

May 8 – 9, 1999, TOS show was held at Doyle Conner Agriculture Center.
Glenmar Orchids, Tallahassee, was awarded the AOS Show Trophy. Tetratonia
Gulfshore’s Little Ruby ‘Hall’s Classic’, exhibited by Keith and Charlotte
Hall, Jacksonville, was awarded an AM (82 points).

April 14, - 15, 2000, TOS show was held at Doyle Conner Agriculture Center.
MAJ Orchids, Jacksonville, was awarded the AOS Show Trophy. MAJ Orchids
was awarded a CHM for Maxillaria tonsbergii "MAJ’ and a CBR for Renanthera
citrina ‘MAJ’. Phalaenopisis Brother Precious Stones ‘Charlotte’s Choice’,
exhibited by Keith and Charlotte Hall, Jacksonville, was awarded an AM
(84 points).

April 14 – 15, 2001 TOS show was held at the Doyle Conner Agriculture Center.
Phalaenopisis mannii ‘MAJ’s Ebony’, exhibited by MAJ Orchids, Jacksonville,
was awarded an AM (83 points).

April 20 – 21, 2002 TOS show was held at the Leon County Agricultural Extension
Office.

April 12 – 13, 2003 TOS show’ ‘A World of Orchids’ was held at the Doyle
Conner Agriculture Center.
